Login Issues

Can't Log In to Odoo Instance

Symptoms Invalid credentials error, login page loops, or access denied
Causes Wrong password, browser cache, instance not running
Solutions
  1. Verify instance is Running in your portal
  2. Clear browser cache and cookies
  3. Try incognito/private browsing mode
  4. Use "Reset Password" on the Odoo login page
  5. If using custom domain, try the default subdomain URL

Can't Log In to VedTech Portal

Solutions
  1. Use "Forgot Password" to reset your portal password
  2. Check your email spam folder for reset link
  3. Ensure you're using the correct email address
  4. Contact support if issues persist

Slow Performance

Symptoms Pages load slowly, timeouts, unresponsive interface
Causes High resource usage, large data sets, browser issues
Solutions
  1. Check Resource Usage: Go to your instance detail page
    • CPU > 80%? Consider upgrading plan
    • RAM > 90%? Restart instance or upgrade
  2. Restart Instance: Often clears memory issues
  3. Browser Solutions:
    • Clear browser cache
    • Disable browser extensions
    • Try a different browser
  4. Odoo Optimizations:
    • Archive old/unused records
    • Reduce list view limits
    • Disable unused scheduled actions

Blank Screen After Login

Symptoms White/blank page after login, loading spinner never completes
Causes JavaScript errors, browser cache, asset loading issues
Solutions
  1. Hard Refresh: Press Ctrl+Shift+R (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+R (Mac)
  2. Clear Browser Data:
    • Clear cache and cookies for the site
    • Or try incognito mode
  3. Check Browser Console:
    • Press F12 to open developer tools
    • Check Console tab for errors
  4. Restart Instance: Regenerates assets
  5. If issue persists, contact support with browser console errors

Module Installation Errors

Symptoms Module won't install, dependency errors, upgrade failures
Solutions
  1. Check Compatibility: Ensure module is compatible with your Odoo version
  2. Install Dependencies: Some modules require other modules first
  3. Check Storage: Ensure you have enough database storage
  4. Restart & Retry: Restart instance, then try again
  5. Contact Support: Provide the exact error message

Email Not Sending

Symptoms Emails stuck in queue, not delivered, bouncing
Solutions
  1. Check Outgoing Mail Server:
    • Go to Settings > Technical > Outgoing Mail Servers
    • Click "Test Connection"
  2. Verify SMTP Settings:
    • Server: Your email provider's SMTP server
    • Port: Usually 587 (TLS) or 465 (SSL)
    • Security: TLS recommended
  3. Check Email Queue: Settings > Technical > Emails
  4. Common SMTP Settings:
    • Gmail: smtp.gmail.com:587 (requires App Password)
    • Outlook: smtp.office365.com:587
    • SendGrid: smtp.sendgrid.net:587

Storage Full Errors

Symptoms Can't upload files, database errors, backup failures
Solutions
  1. Check Usage: View storage metrics on instance detail page
  2. Clean Up Files:
    • Delete old/unused attachments
    • Remove outdated reports
    • Clean up old log entries
  3. Optimize Database:
    • Archive old records
    • Delete test/demo data
  4. Upgrade Plan: If you need more storage, upgrade your plan
  5. Add Storage Add-on: Purchase additional storage
