What is GCT?
General Consumption Tax (GCT) is Jamaica's value-added tax, administered by Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ). The standard rate is 15% on most goods and services.

Who needs to register for GCT?
Businesses with annual sales over J$10 million must register for GCT. Voluntary registration is available for smaller businesses. Registered businesses must file GCT returns monthly or bi-monthly.
